Created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld in 1991, Deadpool was initially a parody of DC’s mercenary villain Deathstroke. However, in 1998, writers Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness developed him into the unique character he is today, known for his caustic humor and satiric references.
